Pneumonia is an inflammation of the lower respiratory tract that can be caused by a variety of microbes. It disproportionately affects patients who are over 65 years of age and according to Asthma + Lung UK, more than 25,000 people die from pneumonia in the UK each year. Now, new research, published in the Journal of Medical Microbiology has identified a possible link between wearing dentures and pneumonia
