ARS2 instructs early transcription termination-coupled RNA decay by recruiting ZC3H4 to nascent transcripts.

ARS2 recruits via a conserved interaction domain the ZC3H4 restriction factor to chromatin, where it induces transcription termination. NEXT is then recruited through a direct interaction between ZCCHC8 and ZC3H4, which lead to RNA degradation by the RNA exosome
