The key roles played by integrins in a variety of physiological processes

In a recent review article, researchers summarize the roles integrins play in cancer cells and the current status of anti-integrin therapy for cancer. As a family of unique transmembrane receptors, integrins activate bi-directional signaling, referred to as “inside-out” signaling and “outside-in” signaling.
