Targeting cancer cells while leaving healthy cells alive

Marit Otterlei (center) is a professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. A new cancer drug developed by her and her colleagues will now be tested in the USA on patients with sarcoma, a type of connective tissue cancer. In Australia, the medicine will be tested on ovarian cancer. Both clinical trials are in combination with chemotherapy.
