Deep brain stimulation in patients with Parkinson (IMAGE)
Caption
Anatomical positions of two brain stimulation electrodes. The colored areas mark the anatomical structures relevant for deep brain stimulation in patients with Parkinson's disease. The positions of the electrodes were determined on the basis of individual radiological image data. The newly developed StimFit algorithm uses this information to calculate suggestions for effective stimulation settings.
