Using phase field equations to model cell aggregation (IMAGE)

Researchers from Korea analyzed the numerical scheme for boundedness of solutions and energy decay properties, using the Allen–Cahn equation with the p-Laplacian. The study revealed basic properties of the AC equation (phase separation, boundedness, and energy decay properties) with p-Laplacian operator. Given the wide-ranging applications of the Allen–Cahn equation, these results can help evolve the mathematical understanding on complex biochemical reactions.
