Rick Demmer and Catherine Riddle, INL research scientists, developed CoDeAc to answer a need for better tools to detect uranium and plutonium. The CoDeAc solution changes color within a minute when sprayed or wiped on to a variety of surfaces to detect possible nuclear contamination.
