Researchers from Japan have investigated high-temperature superconductivity in ternary hydrides of lanthanum and yttrium. Their study revealed multiple stable thermodynamic phases in Y–Ce–H and La–Ce–H systems. This could lead to the realization of high-temperature superconductors.
