HMGB1 mediates anaphylaxis-induced drop in blood pressure (IMAGE)
Caption
In a rat model of anaphylactic shock, the administration of anti-HMGB1 antibody reduced hypotension. The red plot denotes the mean arterial blood pressure of rats treated with anti-HMGB1 antibody. The black and blue plots denote controls. These findings attest the results of the cell culture assay and can help in the development of a novel therapy for life-threatening systemic anaphylaxis.
