A new study by PNU researcher Prof. Bae reveals that automobile owners with defective vehicles are more likely to take prompt corrective actions when the defects are potentially life-threatening, the corrective procedure is free of charge, or if they are early birds. Standardized recall letters containing critical alert messages are, thus, necessary to make the recall process more effective.
