Edward Sabolsky, WVU Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources professor, uses ceramic bricks to conduct research at his lab. The Department of Defense has tasked Sabolsky and Terence Musho with developing a new process for recycling electronic waste in order to extract raw materials that are used to build technology critical to U.S. national defense, such as semiconductors.
