Shown left to right: Tanja Woyke, Jean-Marie Volland, Olivier Gros, Silvina Gonzalez-Rizzo and Shailesh Date. Volland, Gros and Gonzalez-Rizzo are co-first authors on a June 2022 Science paper about a giant single-celled bacterium found in the mangroves of Guadeloupe. Woyke and Date are among the senior authors of the paper, "A centimeter-long bacterium with DNA contained in metabolically active membrane-bound organelles."
