Shiv Priyam Raghuraman, a graduate student in atmospheric and oceanic sciences at Princeton, reports in today’s issue of Nature Communications that Earth’s 'energy imbalance' is growing, and there is less than 1% probability that this trend can be explained by natural variations in the climate system. Put another way, there's a greater than 99% probability that our planet's rising temperatures are caused by human activity.
