图中显示了观察到的和期望的幼苗到幼树的更新格局（A）和幼树到大幼树的更新格局（B）。结果显示随着生长，子代更新的高峰处与母树的距离不断增大，说明幼苗更新在离母树较近处有着更高的死亡率。
