(a) Mean HbA1c during lead-in and 26-week treatment. Data are mean at screening and LSM (± SE) for all other time points. Noninferiority of URLi versus insulin lispro was shown in change of HbA1c from baseline to week 26. (b) LSM post-prandial glucose excursions at weeks 26 during mixed-meal tolerance tests. Postprandial glucose excursions were improved significantly in patients treated with URLi compared with insulin lispro across all time points from 30 min to 240 min.
