Organelle-specific drug delivery observed using modified cholera toxin

Drug “B” binds to the surface of the cell and is transported to the Golgi apparatus. The drug contains an endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-specific sequence to further guide its transport to the ER. Transport to the ER is stopped if the drug bears N-glycosylation “Y.”
