The introduction of second phase and phase boundary stimulates the electrochemical reactivity of Sn with Mg in MIBs.

Through introducing the second phase, the increased phase boundary makes Mg easier to diffuse and enter into Sn, which effectively stimulates the electrochemical reactivity of Sn with Mg.
