Calf named “Chromo” born from zygote with live-cell imaging of chromosome segregation (IMAGE)
Caption
Chromo is one of the healthy calves born during assisted reproductive technology research that looked at the relationship between chromosomal segregation errors and embryonic loss in cattle. This is the first time that offspring were produced successfully from bovine IVF embryos using nuclear/chromosomal imaging for the first time in non-rodent mammals.
