1D Pt-based catalysts have been widely investigated due to the large exposed surface area, fast electron transfer and good resistance. This work reviews the recent developments in 1D Pt-based nanostructures, with an emphasis on the effect of their design and synthesis, physical morphologies, and chemical structures on their performance in electrocatalytic ORR in fuel cells.
