Sora Shin, assistant professor at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, recently received a $2 million National Institutes of Health grant to explore the brain circuit that is potentially responsible for high-fat food overconsumption after abstinence of the food in order to address therapeutic strategies to combat obesity.
