A Hydra vulgaris polyp as it bends, pulses, nods, contracts and elongates. The green fluorescent calcium indicator shows the outer ("ectodermal") muscle tissue, while the red fluorescent calcium indicator shows the inner ("endodermal") muscle tissue.
