Crews pour concrete footings, the first step in the construction of a permanent home of the NSF’s SOLIS instrument at Big Bear Solar Observatory in California. The site is currently home to the 1.6 meter Goode Solar Telescope seen in the background and one of six worldwide NSF GONG instruments.
