Administration of SCFAs into the nasal cavity could be a preventative or therapeutic strategy for COVID-19

In a recent study, scientists examined the nasal expression of ACE2 and saw that administration of SCFAs had suppressed ACE2 expression even in the presence of viral RNA. The findings suggest that SFCAs have potential therapeutic applications against COVID-19.
