The spatial organisation of the C. elegans brain is modular. The image shows the different brain regions that process information to direct behaviours such as navigation, avoidance and feeding. The sensors collect information from the nose (top left, not shown) and drive muscles all around the head and down the body (to the bottom right, not shown)
