Earthquake Swarm (VIDEO) California Institute of Technology This video is under embargo. Please login to access this video. Caption Seismic activity associated with the Cahuilla earthquake swarm in Southern California's Anza Valley. Filling out the earthquake catalogue using template matching shows the swarm in greater detail. The color of each seismic event records its depth, and so the rainbow-like appearance of the swarm indicates the shallow-to-deep slant of the fault, not previously visible from earlier data.
