George E. Fox is the John and Rebecca Moores Professor of Biology and Biochemistry in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Houston. He is the 2016 recipient of the university's highest faculty honor - the Esther Farfel Award - which carries a $10,000 cash prize, recognizing excellence in teaching, research and service.
