Principle of attosecond interferometry (IMAGE)
Caption
Strong driving pulse E0 generates high order harmonics every half optical cycle of the driver, and forms a sequence of attoecond temporal slits. A weak signal pulse perturbs the electron trajectories (grey curved arrows) for harmonic generation, inducing a shift of the interference pattern in the frequency domain. (a)The simulated harmonic spectrum using strong field approximation. The delay dependent energy shift of each harmonic is expressed as σ(τ)?ES(τ)+αES (τ+Δ), and can be used to reconstruct the electric field of the signal pulse. (b)The reconstructed (red dotted lines) and original (black solid lines) field.
