Early Auditory Experience Controls the Mating Decisions of Female Flies in Courtship

Without prior auditory experience during development, a female fly will accept a male of the same species in courtship, even if the male comes along with another species' song. With proper auditory experience of their own species' song during development, however, a female fly will reject the male if he comes along with the song of another species.
