Hannah Dailey, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering and mechanics at Lehigh University's P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, received an NSF CAREER award for her research developing a virtual mechanical test that helps determine how long it will take a tibial fracture. The award supports further fundamental research into the structural mechanics of bones as they heal, as well as Dailey's efforts to encourage women to pursue orthopedics and engineering.
