The event is highly likely to be from a single-top-quark decay to a W boson and b quark. The W boson decayed to the muon and a neutrino, which escaped the detector without interacting, leaving an imbalance of the remaining energy (shown as missing transverse energy). The b quark produced one of the particle jets. The second jet is from another particle produced at the same time as the top quark.
