modENCODE Overview

The modENCODE project examines both the roundworm and the fruit fly as model organisms for understanding how to read genomes, including the human genome. Berkeley Lab researchers have concentrated on Drosophila's transcriptome and on the chromatin that makes up its chromosomes.
