Microscope images show cobalt-doped molybdenum disulfide as grown on a carbon cloth. The high-resolution transmission electron microscope image at right reveals the doped nanosheets, which facilitate the efficient electrochemical catalysis of ammonia. The process was developed for small-scale use by materials scientists at Rice University.
