Ken Prehoda on eLife Paper (VIDEO)
Caption
Ken Prehoda, a biochemist and director of the University of Oregon's Institute of Molecular Biology, discusses his research published in the journal eLife. His lab identified a mutation that opened the door for a transition from a single-celled ancestor to multicellular animals. The research, he says, provides a glimpse of how cancer cells revert back to go-it-alone single-celled behavior.
