High Speed Video Comparison of Asymmetric and Symmetric Electrodes During Operation at a Current Den (VIDEO)
Caption
For asymmetric electrodes, the product bubbles are generated only on the outward facing surfaces and do not mix with each other as they float upwards. On the symmetric electrodes, bubbles are also generated on the inside surface, and thus they can more easily cross-over into the opposite collection chamber, thereby reducing the product purity.
