Quality of Life in Black Adventists (IMAGE)
Caption
A Loma Linda University study shows that blacks who identify as members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church defy health disparities and report a better quality of life than the average American. Researchers point to certain lifestyle behaviors as a possible explanation for the difference. This graph provides more information. The research was part of the Adventist Religion and Health Study, a study of nearly 11,000 Adventists, including more than 3,400 black Adventists.
