With support from the Office of Naval Research, D'Agostino is studying ketone esters-oral supplements useful in epilepsy treatment-to fight seizures caused by hyperbaric oxygen toxicity, a life-threatening byproduct of breathing too much oxygen that impacts deep-water divers.
