HyVIS: hybrid synapses to treat retinal dystrophies

By combining nanotechnology and optics, HyVis project will develop bionic synapses for retinal prostheses, designed to restore sight in people suffering from diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa and age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
