The research group found novel protein chemical labeling reaction using singlet oxygen ( <sup>1</sup> O<sub> 2</sub> ). Utilizing the short diffusion distance of <sup>1</sup> O<sub> 2</sub> and a technique to localize the <sup>1</sup> O<sub> 2</sub> generator, the research group demonstrated site-selective labeling of antibody.
