Manjeet Rao, Ph.D., UT Health San Antonio, finds Tiny Molecule Can Fight Common Pediatric Cancer

Manjeet Rao, Ph.D., of UT Health San Antonio, led a study that showed a small molecule is able to kill a childhood brain cancer called medulloblastoma. The molecule sensitizes the cancer to chemotherapy and radiation, offering hope that in the future oncologists could treat this cancer with far less chemotherapy and radiation.
