Caption There are 17 states that don’t have minimum age restrictions for the use of tanning beds in spite of the fact that studies have shown that there is a higher incidence of skin cancer in people who tan and that the young are at the highest risk. Now skin cancer researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have found that two-thirds of the tanning salons in the state of Missouri allow children as young as 10 or 12 to tan.
