Working with a Preemie (IMAGE) WashU Medicine Caption Cynthia Rogers, MD (right) discusses the progress of infant Tycen Reisch with his mother, Stacy Reisch, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Tycen was born about eight weeks premature but is doing well. Rogers and colleagues conducted brain scans on infants born prematurely and at full term and found that early predictors of anxiety and depression may be evident in the brain at birth.
