Tissue Stained for Cells Containing CD4 Receptors (IMAGE)
Caption
Vaginal tissue stained for cells containing CD4 receptors, which are susceptible to HIV infection. A new study shows that antiretroviral drug concentrations vary widely across different types of tissue. This has important implications for the use of ARVs for the prevention of HIV transmission.
