Rena R. Wing, Ph.D., director of the Miriam Hospital's Weight Control and Diabetes Research Center and a professor of psychiatry and human behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, is the principal investigator on six new NIH grants totaling more than $12 million in finding. The grants will support Wing's work looking at the prevention and treatment of obesity.
