Deepak Kumar and colleagues at UMass Amherst Kumar says a new technique for wrapping droplets exploits the fast dynamics of droplet impact to achieve wrapping. The process yields wrappings that are optimally shaped to maximize the enclosed fluid volume and have near-perfect seams, the authors say.
