A Human Life Science research team led by graduate students teamed up with clinical comparative genomics researchers to show the possibility of distinguishing between acne strains and their association with acne by using nematodes as a model. It is hoped that this will lead to the treatment of acne, which is a problem for many young people, and to new uses for healthy skin-related acne strains.
