1st Pfizer/BioNTech Vaccine Phase 3 Trial Participants in US

University of Rochester Medical Center volunteers were first in the nation to receive the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in a Phase 3 trial in July.

Leading infectious disease experts Edward Walsh, M.D., and Ann Falsey, M.D., can be available to discuss their experience with the vaccine, research and next steps.

Walsh and Falsey were co-authors of a study that appeared last month in the New England Journal of Medicine that showed that the BNT162b2 vaccine was safe and elicited an immune response to the virus during the Phase 1 clinical trial.
