One of the dominant pollinators in red clover (Trifolium pratense) is the buff-tailed bumble bee (Bombus terrestris). This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Feb. 28, 2013, issue of Science Express, published by AAAS. The paper, by Lucas Garibaldi at Universidad Nacional de Río Negro in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, and colleagues was titled, “Wild Pollinators Enhance Fruit Set of Crops Regardless of Honey Bee Abundance.”
