Meet the Planet Finder Spectrograph (VIDEO)
Caption
In April, our team performed maintenance and upgrades to the Planet Finder Spectrograph, PFS for short. PFS is an instrument that astronomers use at the Magellan Clay Telescope to look for the signature of exoplanets. Since stability is very important, PFS is rarely opened. The time-lapse of their work is a rare look inside a world-class planet finding instrument!
