Images of tibia muscle from wild type mice and mice deficient in DGK-zeta. The wild type mice exhibited less muscle atrophy when the nerve supply was removed (WT/DNV) compared to DGK-zeta-deficient mice (DGK-zeta/DNV). This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 16 May, issue of Science Translational Medicine, published by AAAS. The paper, by author at institution in location; and colleagues was titled, "A DGKζ-FoxO-ubiquitin proteolytic axis controls fiber size during skeletal muscle remodeling."
