A drug, XMU-MP-1, promotes liver and intestinal tissue repair and regeneration after acute injury. Tissue staining show YAP, BrdU, and Ki67 in the colon sections of wild-type mice after the oral administration of DSS after vehicle or XMU-MP-1 each day. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Aug. 17, 2016, issue of Science Translational Medicine, published by AAAS. The paper, by F. Fan at Xiamen University in Xiamen, China, and colleagues was titled, 'Pharmacological targeting of kinases MST1 and MST2 augments tissue repair and regeneration.'
